The Git based game studio
A collection of tools around Git to build your development pipeline without any lock in effects.
Verso is a design and animation studio driven by the research of new aesthetics and the power of collaboration. They use still and moving 3D imagery to provide visual experiences for brands such as Aston Martin, Adidas, Bershka or Yeti.
It was founded by Diego Gastelut, Nicolás Basílico Miara and Javier García Munuera, who we are talking to right now.
I'm a motion designer and director at Verso, mainly on the technical side of things. I'm always looking for ways to improve our workflow within the software we use and the pipeline in general. I'm now starting to get more involved in programming, so I'm really looking forward to exploring the possibilities that Anchorpoint offers in terms of custom tools.
We use Cinema 4D as our main tool, along with Houdini and the Adobe suite. We also rely heavily on Notion for management, not only of projects but also finances, freelancers, clients, etc.
When it comes to sharing files, we mainly use Dropbox to synchronize all our work within the team, but also Google Drive for other documents.
We like to work locally in our office in Madrid, but we also work with remote freelancers, so we need communication and file management to be as smooth as possible.
We started using Anchorpoint 2 months ago.
Simple and intuitive. We shared the tool between our 3 members and the experience was almost seamless. It works on macOS and Windows!
The links for files directly from any directory is the big star for us. We work with Dropbox, Google Drive and Local and the ability to share directly with everyone is great. Sometimes the routes can be a bit messy, especially when computers have different operating systems or different drive names.
This feature is also very handy when managing projects in Notion, as we can use these links to navigate directly to a folder from our Notion structure.
Of course, the sequence conversion tools are also a must in the daily workflow for checking renders.
I followed you on Twitter for a long time before start using Anchorpoint.
Yes, specially for teams with a huge amount of files to manage.
Thank you so much Javier for taking the time. Learn more about Verso
